The wait is over: the Dangote Refinery IPO share price has been set at ₦525 per share, equivalent to approximately $0.40 around the time the offer was announced.

For investors who have spent months searching “How much will Dangote IPO shares cost?”, “Dangote Refinery share price”, or “How can I buy Dangote shares?”, the official offer terms provide a clear answer.

The company plans to offer 4.1 billion ordinary shares, potentially raising approximately ₦2.15 trillion, or about $1.6 billion, if the base offer is fully subscribed.

How Much Money Do You Need to Invest in the Dangote IPO?

The minimum application announced during the September 7 signing ceremony is 10 shares.

At ₦525 per share:

10 shares = ₦5,250, or roughly $4 at the exchange rate around the announcement.

The exact amount paid in dollars or another currency may differ because exchange rates and applicable conversion or transaction charges can change.

That relatively low minimum is consistent with Aliko Dangote’s description of the transaction as an “IPO for the people”, designed to broaden ownership of the refinery.

How to Buy Dangote IPO Shares Outside Nigeria

If you live outside Nigeria, you don’t necessarily need to open a Nigerian bank account first.

Eligible international investors can access Nigeria’s capital market through Daba Finance. Through Daba’s international Nigeria-market channel, investors can participate without their own Nigerian bank account, BVN or personal CSCS account.

Daba’s Nigerian-market access is supported by its strategic arrangement with Coronation Securities Limited and Coronation Asset Management Limited.

Coronation Securities is a Nigerian SEC-regulated broker/dealer and issuing house, and its official website publicly identifies the strategic distribution arrangement with Daba to expand global access to Nigeria’s capital market.

See the relationship directly on Coronation Securities’ official website.

When Can You Buy the Dangote IPO?

The offer is scheduled to run from September 14 to October 13, 2026.

Before the subscription window, investors can create a Daba account, complete KYC and follow the dedicated Daba Dangote IPO Hub for updates.

The hub tracks the Dangote IPO price, offer dates, verified information and international investor access.

Is the $0.40 Dangote Share Shariah Compliant?

For Muslim investors, the answer from the formal Shariah assessment is also important: yes, the ordinary shares offered have been deemed permissible under Shariah principles.

Buraq Capital evaluated the business and its financial ratios using a methodology based principally on AAOIFI Shariah Standard No. 21. The company passed the business activity screen as well as the tests for interest-bearing borrowing, interest-earning assets and non-permissible income.

So while ₦525 — approximately $0.40 — is the headline price, the bigger development is that investors in Nigeria and eligible investors abroad now have a defined route toward owning shares in Dangote Petroleum Refinery.
