Since its inception in 2022, the Launchpad has conducted two cohorts, aiding 24 fellows from 21 funds with a collective target AUM of $281 million. By harnessing the vitality of the venture capital ecosystem to aid first-time fund managers investing in belief capital, MEDA and Obuntu guarantee ongoing support for participants. This includes mentorship, fundraising guidance, and the promotion of innovative fund models tailored to the specific requirements of African startups.
