The BRVM extended its gains in the week through Aug. 6, with all 4 main indexes advancing as SICOR Côte d’Ivoire and SITAB Côte d’Ivoire led individual stocks higher. The BRVM Composite rose 0.59% to 485.48 points, while the BRVM 30 gained 0.50% to 231.22. The BRVM Prestige added 0.49% to 178.43 and the BRVM Principal gained 0.72% to 367.89.

SICOR gained 10.70% to XOF7,085, the best performance reported for the week. The research note linked the move to the stock’s low liquidity, which can increase the effect of buy and sell orders.
