Key Takeaways
Zambia is yet another African country to delve into AI by working on a framework for its adoption. Earlier this year, Nigeria enlisted 120 experts to develop a co-created framework to promote AI adoption in the country, securing $3.5 million in seed funding from potential partners for the initial draft of the National AI Strategy. Similarly, South Africa is contemplating AI regulation and plans to establish an AI Expert Advisory Council. This council will guide on creating and implementing AI-related policies and regulations, ensuring a structured approach to AI development in the country.
