BRVM Market Watch: Four Stocks Show Notable Upward Moves

The Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) is seeing significant activity, with four key stocks recording notable upward price movements across 7-day and 30-day windows. This signals a dynamic period for investors looking into West African equities.

Leading the charge is Ecobank Transnational Inc (ETIT), which experienced an exceptional surge of +97.3% over the past 30 days, reaching a current price of XOF 73. Its 7-day movement also showed a robust +7.35% increase, accompanied by a 30.11% change in volume. ETIT’s YTD return stands at an impressive 217.39%, underscoring its strong year-long performance.

Bank of Africa – Côte d’Ivoire (BOAC) also demonstrated substantial growth, climbing +12.09% over the last 30 days to XOF 10200. The stock also registered a +4.67% gain in 7 days, with a remarkable 207.65% increase in trading volume, indicating heightened investor interest. BOAC’s YTD return is currently 42.06%.

Further reinforcing the positive trend are Safca Côte d’Ivoire (SAFC) and SMB Côte d’Ivoire (SMBC). SAFC recorded a +10.59% increase over 7 days, trading at XOF 4750, with its volume up by 94.74%. SMBC saw a +5.3% rise over 7 days, reaching XOF 16000.
