Is There an Approved Dangote IPO Prospectus Yet?

Short Answer
No. As of this writing, Nigeria’s SEC has not approved a prospectus for the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO. The company has filed an application (in late July/early August 2026), which is now under regulatory review, but the formal, SEC-approved prospectus that would contain audited financials, pricing, and offer terms has not been published.
Why the Prospectus Is the Milestone That Matters Most
A prospectus is the legal document that actually discloses the numbers investors need: the offer price, the percentage of the company being sold, use of proceeds, audited financial statements, and the company’s own risk disclosures. Until it’s published and approved, every valuation estimate, price rumor, and dividend claim circulating about this IPO remains unofficial, however widely repeated.
How You’ll Know When It’s Approved
Watch for an official SEC announcement or a company press release confirming prospectus approval — this typically comes alongside, or shortly before, a confirmed subscription timetable. Daba will cover the prospectus in detail the moment it’s officially released.
