When Does Dangote IPO Subscription Open?
1 min Read August 22, 2026 at 12:02 PM UTC

Short Answer
No official subscription window has opened yet. As of this writing, Dangote Petroleum Refinery’s IPO application is still under review with Nigeria’s SEC, and a subscription period can only open once the SEC approves the offer and a prospectus with a defined timetable is published.
What Needs to Happen First
Before subscription can open, the SEC needs to approve the offer, the company needs to publish an official prospectus (with price, offer size, and dates), and, if the offer uses book building, an investor demand and pricing process typically needs to conclude first. The company has publicly targeted a September 2026 listing, which implies a subscription window sometime before that, but no specific dates have been formally approved.
How to Not Miss It
Because subscription windows for large IPOs are often open for a limited period, it’s worth preparing your brokerage account, CSCS account, and KYC documentation now, so you’re not scrambling to set up basic access once an official window is announced. Daba will flag the opening of an official subscription period as soon as it’s confirmed.
