The final event, held Friday, September 27 at the Ecobank Pan African Center in Lomé, saw Daba clinch the top spot, securing a grand prize of US$50,000 and earning a place in the esteemed Ecobank Fintech Fellowship program.
The 7th edition of the Ecobank Fintech Challenge attracted a diverse array of early-stage and mature fintech startups from across the continent, all vying for the opportunity to partner with Ecobank, the leading pan-African banking group. Daba’s innovative approach to democratizing investing in Africa and emerging markets set it apart from the competition.

The Ecobank Fintech Challenge, known for its rigorous selection process, has been a launchpad for numerous successful fintech innovations since its inception. This year’s competition saw participation from over 5,500 contestants representing 64 countries, underscoring its significance in the African fintech ecosystem.
