Daba in 2025: Building, Scaling, and Deepening Trust

2025 was a defining year for us at Daba.
And that’s not because of a single headline moment, but because of steady, deliberate execution across product, education, and community.
It was a year we spent strengthening the foundations of what we believe is Africa’s long-term investing infrastructure—while scaling faster than ever before.
Here’s a simple recap of the milestones that shaped our journey in 2025.
From 30,000 to 180,000 Users: Scaling Trust at Speed
At the end of December 2024, we had just over 30,000 users on Daba. By the end of 2025, that number crossed 180,000 users.
This sixfold growth wasn’t driven by hype. It was driven by trust. More individuals across Africa and the diaspora chose to invest, learn, and build wealth with us on a platform designed specifically for African markets.
It confirmed what we’ve believed from day one: long-term wealth in Africa starts with access, education, and consistency.
Every new user strengthened our conviction that we’re building something that truly matters.
Growing Community of Learners and Investors
Education remained at the heart of what we do.
Our YouTube channel grew from 2,700 subscribers in December 2024 to over 9,300 subscribers, becoming an important space where we break down markets, explain investment concepts, and discuss African financial opportunities in a clear and practical way.
More than the numbers, this growth reflected the kind of community we’re building—one that wants to understand markets, not chase speculation. A community that values patience, context, and long-term thinking.
Rolling Out Managed Funds
One of our most important product milestones in 2025 was the rollout of managed funds.
This marked a major step in our evolution.
We began offering more structured investment solutions for users who want professional portfolio management aligned with their risk profile and long-term objectives.
With managed funds, our investors can benefit from diversification, discipline, and expert oversight—without having to manage every decision themselves.
It was a key move toward making Daba a more complete wealth-building platform.

Launching Daba Academy
In 2025, we officially launched Daba Academy, our dedicated education platform.
Through Daba Academy, we now offer practical blogs, videos, and tutorials covering market analysis, investment strategies, and regional financial news.
Our goal is simple: to make high-quality investment education accessible, relevant, and actionable—especially for African and diaspora investors who are often overlooked by traditional financial education.
Daba Academy isn’t about theory for theory’s sake. It’s about helping our community understand what’s happening in the markets, why it matters, and how to invest responsibly.

…and the new Markets Talk podcast
In June, we published the first episode of our now-weekly Markets Talk podcast, covering everything you need to know about francophone West Africa’s financial markets and investment landscape.
Markets Talk is available on all major streaming platforms, including:
- PodBean
- Spotify
- Apple Podcasts
- YouTube
- And more
Just search “Markets Talk or Daba Finance”, hit subscribe/follow, and start listening.
Major Enhancements Across the Daba App
2025 was also a year of deep product iteration for us.
We introduced a dedicated Daba Pro tab, designed as a central hub for advanced investors. It brings together current and historical weekly stock recommendations, Daba Pro research reports, analyst commentary on stocks, bonds, and macro trends, as well as official stock exchange publications such as dividend announcements, financials, and market notices.
We also added a quick support function, an in-app chat group (Circle), and access to the Daba investment book—all in one place.
These updates significantly improved how our users access research, insights, and market information directly within the app.
Helping Investors Know Themselves First
Another milestone we’re proud of is the launch of the Investor Profile Assessment Quiz on our website.
This short, intuitive quiz helps users identify their risk profile and investment preferences, forming a strong foundation for better decision-making. By understanding risk tolerance upfront, our investors can choose strategies that truly match their goals and timelines.
At Daba, we believe successful investing starts with self-awareness.

Recurring Investments and Cost Averaging
In 2025, we also launched Daba Recurring Investment, giving our users access to one of the most effective long-term strategies: Cost Averaging.
With recurring investments, our community can invest consistently over time, reduce the impact of market volatility, and build discipline into their wealth-building journey.
This feature makes long-term investing simpler, more automatic, and more accessible—especially for first-time investors.
Looking Ahead to 2026
2025 was about building, refining, and scaling the right foundations. 2026 is about going further.
