Who holds my investments with Daba when investing on the BRVM?
Your investments through Daba are securely held through our network of regulated partners:
- Custodial Structure
- Your investments are held by the custodian of the broker through whom Daba executed your specific transaction
- Daba partners with nearly 10 different licensed brokers on the BRVM
- Each broker has their own regulated custodian who holds the securities. Custodians are banks licensed to hold securities. For example: Ecobank brokerage EDC’s custodian is Ecobank, BOA capital securities’s custodian is BOA BMCE Bank
- Official Framework
- All securities traded on the BRVM are ultimately held at the DC/BR (Dépositaire Central/Banque de Règlement)
- The DC/BR is the official central securities depository for the BRVM market
- Your investments are held in segregated accounts through our partner SGIs’ custodians
- Regulatory Protection
- All custodial operations are regulated by the AMF UMOA
- Each broker and their custodian must maintain strict regulatory compliance
